If you're running a business and trying to make better decisions right now, here are a few things I want you to keep in mind...
- You only need to get rich once
Most people don't lose because they're dumb. They lose because they make bad decisions after things start working. Get around smarter people who aren't afraid to be honest with you.
- Performance is less about great moves and more about avoiding bad ones.
One mistake at the wrong time erases a lot of progress.
- Risk isn't always obvious
The real risk is usually what you dont see yet.
- Leverage works... until it doesn't.
Used carefully, leverage accelerates things. Used casually, it ends them.
- Cash should never sit idle
Even if you're waiting, it should be working for you (in a smart way)
- Relationships matter most when things break
Who answers the phone matters more than credentials. This is where relationship capital can make or break you.
- Losses teach faster than wins
Wins make people confident. But losses make people precise.
- Rich buys stuff.
Wealth buys control.
If one of those hit, it probably matters to you right now.
