There's a certain type of person I look for when I need to fill a key role.
I call them drivers.
They don't ask for permission. They don't need constant hand-holding or reminders to work. They see what needs to happen and they make it happen. You tell them the result you want, and they figure out the path to get there.
Do they screw up sometimes? Of course. But that's expected. Their presence far outweighs their mistakes.
Sadly most business owners have never worked with a real driver. They've worked with 'task managers' who need constant direction and check-ins.
Here's the difference. A task manager is messy, unclear and needs you to constantly remind them to do what you pay them to do. A driver takes the wheel and only calls you when there's something you actually need to know.
The problem? Your best hire isn't just sitting around waiting for a job posting.
They're already working. Probably for your competitor. They're carrying all the weight, frustrated as hell because they're surrounded by lazy people who don't move like they do. Stuck in an environment that doesn't appreciate what they bring.
And... they're looking for a way out.
These people don't browse job boards or respond to recruiting emails. They move through relationships and introductions. Someone they trust tells them about an opportunity, and they make the move.
THAT'S where most business owners lose. They don't have access to the network that knows where these drivers are.
Inside the DM Alliance, we've built exactly that. Members get access to owners, partners, and talent that never hits the open market. The kind of people who can change your business in six months.
If you're still posting jobs on LinkedIn hoping the right person shows up, you're fishing in the wrong pond.
Let's see what you got going on... and get you the driver you need.
