Today's quick business lesson is worth more than gold.

Don't make it hard for people to give you money.

Last week I dealt with FOUR companies who did exactly that. I had to break a sweat and waste hours just trying to give them my money.

- A hat company ghosted us for two weeks on a $2K order, til we blew them up on social media just to finally get a reply.

- A wrap guy nailed our first truck, so we asked him to do another. He handed it off to someone else and they sent back something a kindergartner could've made in MS Paint. Tons of back and forth after that, that never should have happened.

- Dropped $30K on something crucial for the peptide business. Turns out the company sold us something that doesn't do what what we need. Their fix? We should just pay $50 more per item to fix it. (Seriously??)

- Tried to join an association for $10K. I know the owner. Followed up three times. Took 12 days to hear back. I"m sitting here ready to pay. Then they wanted to schedule a Zoom video... to take my money.

I have a migraine just writing all this out.

Most businesses don't die from competition. They die from not answering the phone, not following up, not caring about their customers and not doing what they said they'd do.

You don't need a new CRM. You don't need AI. You don't need another funnel.

Just make it EASY for others to give you their money.

How? Answer the damn phone. Do what you said you'd do. Clearly communicate the next step. Close the deal. Repeat.

It's not sexy and it's crazy to say this out loud because it's obviously the seperator nowadays.

Your customers are probably working just as hard to give you money as I was.

Don't make them hunt you down. Go through your setup NOW. Have a trusted person run a 'test' on your business to see how staff responds.

You need to know the blind spots. I guarantee they're there.

Then, fix 'em and get back to taking care of people the way you want to be taken care of.
