The divorce rate for founders is roughly 48%.

That's significantly higher than the national average, which the CDC and Census Bureau just put at 35-40%.

And it ain't because of the money, like people think. It's because of the disconnect.

I've sat with more business owners than I can count who are loaded. They have the cars, the houses, the 8-figure exits.

But they're absolutely miserable at home.

Their spouse (or former spouse) resents them. Their kids barely know them. The family relationship is a warzone, with sarcastic jabs and boiling resentment in public that everyone picks up on.

They think they're hiding the crushing weight of the business to "protect" their family. (They're NOT.)

Then they wonder why their partner doesn't get it when they're constantly on edge, pissed off at dinner or distracted on the weekend.

I don't hide the realities of the business from Deena. She knows the game. She sees the stress. We're in it together.

If you're building an empire but your home life is falling apart, trust me when I say the money isn't gonna be worth it.

You need to bring your spouse into the fold. Let them see what you're actually dealing with. Let others show them because if things are already bad between you two, they ain't ready to hear it coming from you.

That means you need to get around other business owners who are winning in business AND at home. People who don't just talk about P&L but actually hold you accountable to the only stuff that matters in the end.

If you're tired of fighting the battle alone, it's time you finally pull the trigger.
