I put out my 30 lessons I learned from 30 years in business this week and Lesson 16 keeps coming up.

Know what you don't want.

Sounds simple. But most people still skip right past it.

I've sat across from hundreds, most likely thousands of business owners by now and when I ask them what they actually want their life to look like in 5 years, most go quiet.

Some have a revenue number. But they never stopped long enough to ask themselves what their dream really is and whether the business they're building is actually set up correctly to get them there.

Some of them keep grinding 60 hours a week toward a life they would hate if they actually got it.

I put together a super short assessment for active business owners who need a little nudge to get honest with themselves ;)

It asks questions most people avoid. It pinpoints exactly where the gaps are and what kind of moves and connections it takes to close them.
