I don't take days like this lightly.
Everything we build and the very freedom we enjoy exists because someone else paid the ultimate price first.
They did it knowing this country would always have a few brave people willing to do the hard, dangerous work even while others looked away and took that work for granted.
We owe every veteran more than just thanks.
We owe them proof that their sacrifice meant something by what we build and how we live... and what we stand for, even when it's not convenient.
