There are millions of snakes in the business game.
They're never loud. They're subtle ones who smile in public while poisoning conversations behind your back. They erode your trust and reputation so slowly by the time the damage shows, people think you caused it.
The worst part is even when people see it happening they stay quiet... because snakes bite and they don't want the backlash. Most of them haven't yet been on the bad side of the snake, so they stupidly think it'll never bite them.
Snakes usually come wrapped in credibility. They seem cool on the surface, got some cash and some decent connections. Just enough polish to be dangerous.
I've watched them ruin people quietly and efficiently... and feel completely entitled while doing it.
I know a business owner who spent 15+ years in a 50/50 partnership. On paper, everything looked amazing. The brand was strong. The reputation protected the lies.
Behind the scenes, 6+ figures was privately getting siphoned off for extravagant vacations, home renovations and even a car for the in-laws.
You don't forget hits like that. You just stop letting people get close.
This is why I screen hard and cut people fast the second I know they're snakes. I'm not just protecting my money… I'm protecting everyone in my room.
Real entrepreneurs can only grow through strong, honest relationships. Not superficial ones that rot from the inside.
If you've been a lone wolf your whole career, hear me when say this: I'm not telling you to blindly go "network." That's how you attract jealous amateurs who want what you have and will bleed you dry to get it.
You need to be around people wired like you... disciplined and driven... and not threatened by your success.
You don't need Bezos-level numbers to get in the right room. You just need to be serious and ready to win without worrying about snakes in your circle.
