When I was a young and slightly delusional entreprenuer in the 90's, I loved the idea of 'new' everything.

(Yeah, my flip phone was 'new' at one time... don't be jealous lol ;)

New businesses, new ideas, new directions.

I had the energy for it. I also had the stomach for it.

Today I know better. Because I learned the hard way that new ideas don't scale or pay the rent.

Refined systems do.

It's always easier to buy a business instead of starting up a new one. The hard part isn't the idea... it's what comes later.

The older you get, the less patience you'll have with burning up your energy just to prove you're 'busy'.

I quit chasing 'excitement' and started alinging with leverage. Tightening up systems that already work.

That led to better positioning, better decisions... and made it easy to execute fast to get results.

So many people fall into the 'new' trap that comes around this time of year.

Don't look at January as a time to tear everything down and start from scratch. That'll backfire BIG and you'll be back to ground zero in record time.

What's gonna move the needle for your business is a different perspective with some refining, and a side dose of positive pressure on your end to get it going.

I don't look at businesses anymore and just think 'what's missing?'

I look and think, 'What's being underutilized here?'

That shift alone changes everything.

If you want me to take a deep dive into what you got going on, let's talk before the new year hits and before you make any snap decisions to follow the 'new' trend going on right now.
